India Shawn @Indiashawn is a Los Angeles born singer and songwriter who, has been lending her musical talents to the music industry for over 10 years. Before releasing her debut EP, Origin, she already had writing credits and song placements under her belt as a member of writing team, Full Circle. She’s worked with top names including Chris Brown, Diddy-Dirty Money, El Debarge, Keri Hilson, and Monica. Solange Knowles featured India’s popular track, I’m Alive, on her Saint Heron compilation album in 2013, further endorsing her impact on the new wave of music.
She continues to breathe fresh air into the industry with her and chart-topping songwriter, James Fauntleroy’s Outer Limits EP collaboration, released in the Spring of 2015 and her innovative ReWerc EP, a collaboration with Atlanta’s own Werc Crew collective, released Summer 2016. Since then India has appeared on BET’s THE GAME series finale to sing the National Anthem. She has opened for artists like Ryan Leslie, Daley, KING, and Emily King. She was featured on Ludacris’s comeback album ‘Ludaversal’, and she is currently putting final touches on her forthcoming solo album, FEELS LIKE FATE.
Todays episode is a little different because it was an impromptu episode, meaning we just winged it the whole time. We were speaking to each other, and we ended up saying- lets do a podcast!
